Petfinder Web Site Listing

Due to space, staffing, and financial limitations, Animal Rescue of Fresno can't take in to our adoption center all of the dogs that are looking for a home. To help get these dogs placed, we offer a free courtesy listing on the Petfinder web site. This is a nationally accessed web site and the adoption success rate is very good for the dogs that have been listed. Potential adopters who see your dog on the web site will contact you directly and then you can select the new family for your pet.

To have your dog listed on the Petfinder web site, please forward the following information to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

1. Your dog's name
2. Reason your dog needs a new home
3. Breed (if mix -best guess as to what breeds)
4. Approximate weight
5. Age
6. Sex
7. Spayed/neutered?
8. Current on all shots including rabies?
9. Microchipped?
10. House trained?
11. Gets along with other dogs?
12. Gets along with kids?
13. Gets along with cats?
14. Obedience training - knows commands such as sit/stay - knows how to walk on a leash?
15. Temperament - energetic, mellow, lap dog, needs room to run, etc.
16. Anything else you think a potential adopter might want to know about your dog.
17. Contact information - your phone number and/or e-mail where you want to be contacted by potential adopters.

If the dog you are trying to place is a stray, indicate that in your e-mail and provide as much of this information as you can. Along with the information, send up to three photos of your dog in .jpg format. The better the photos of your dog the more likely he/she is to get adopted. Potential adopters have a tendency to look at the photos first and then go on to the dog's description.

Your dog will be listed on the Petfinder web site within three days after ARF has received your information and photos. Your can check the listing by going to the "ARF Dogs" section of our web site at http://www.arf-fresno.com and looking for your dog's name.
